Privacy Policy

Ruha Solutions ("we," "us") provides fractional IT support services and operates ruhasolutions.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it. The short version: we collect only what we need to help you, we don't sell it, we don't pass it to anyone, and we don't track you around the internet.

What we collect

When you submit a support ticket (via the form or the chat assistant), we collect:

We do not accept file uploads through the site, and we ask that you never include passwords or other credentials in a ticket.

Separately, if you sign up for lesson notifications on the Learning page, we collect:

We do not ask for your name, your business, or anything further to receive lessons. Subscribing is not required to read anything on this site — the lessons currently published are free and public.

What we don't collect

Our public website runs no advertising cookies and no third-party ad scripts. We use Google Analytics to understand site usage — see Website analytics below for exactly what that collects and how to opt out. We don't track you across other websites, and we don't build advertising profiles.

How we use your information

If you subscribed to lesson notifications, we use your email address for one purpose only: to tell you when a new lesson publishes, roughly every two weeks. We do not use it to market services to you, and subscribing does not create a support relationship or add you to any other list.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing. Ever. Your email address is never passed to anyone.

Where your data lives

Ticket data, the conversation history attached to it, and the lesson-notification list are stored with Supabase (our database provider). Email is delivered via Resend and Google Workspace. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

None of it is visible to anyone browsing this site.

How your information is protected

Access to ticket records, conversations and the notification list requires all three of the following:

These rules are enforced by the database itself rather than by the website, which means they apply no matter how the data is requested. We test this by attempting access as an anonymous visitor and as a signed-in account that is not on the administrator list; both are refused.

Knowledge Base articles

We sometimes turn resolved issues into public troubleshooting guides. These are anonymized: names, business names, and identifying details are removed before publication.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website — which pages get visited, roughly where in the world visitors are, and which links get clicked. We use it to decide what to write next and to check the site works on the devices people actually use.

It collects pages viewed, approximate location (continent, country, region and city, estimated from your IP address), device and browser type, how you arrived here, and interactions like scrolling and outbound clicks. Google Analytics does not store full IP addresses.

It does not collect your ticket. Your name, email address, and the contents of any support request are never sent to Google. Analytics records that a form was submitted — never what was in it.

Google Analytics sets cookies to recognize repeat visits. These are analytics cookies only — we have turned off the settings that would share this data with Google's advertising products or industry benchmarks. Analytics data is deleted automatically after 14 months.

To opt out, install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, use your browser's tracking-prevention setting, browse privately, or block analytics cookies. Everything on this site works exactly the same either way.

Data retention & your choices

We keep ticket records as long as needed for service history and legal/accounting purposes.

We keep your email address on the lesson-notification list until you unsubscribe. Every notification email will carry an unsubscribe link, and one click removes you. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing us, and we will action it by hand. When you unsubscribe, your address is deleted rather than suppressed — we do not retain a list of people who have left.

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing IT@ruhasolutions.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
